The GCLC Advantage

Parents tell us that our Center is special. Children enjoy coming to GCLC each day where they learn skills such as; languages, basic computer skills, peaceful conflict resolution, the power of forgiveness and the importance of respect for themselves and others. If your child is not flourishing at your current daycare, or if you have a child approaching preschool age, we invite you to visit our Center with your child, meet our staff and feel the difference. Our program provides a safe, loving and caring environment where children can be free to explore, discover and learn.

GCLC Philosophy

God's Children Learning Center utilizes a custom program to meet the developmental needs of young children. We provide an environment that enriches a child's social, cognitive, emotional, language, physical and creative development. Children learn problem-solving and personal interaction skills through first-hand experiences and develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self and teacher directed activities. We respect each family, and we believe that parents and teachers are partners in childcare and education.

Discipline

GCLC fosters a loving and caring atmosphere. We do not use time-out as a form of behavioral control. We teach and encourage peaceful conflict resolution between children, guiding them to employ listening, reasoning and rationalizing skills in solving their problems.

Extended Hours

GCLC's hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The daily structured curriculum begins at 9:00 a.m. after breakfast.

Meals

We are a candy and soda free facility. We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Staff

With over 50 years of collective experience, our staff provides care that is supportive, nurturing, warm, friendly and responsive to each child's needs. Continuing training and education is part of our culture.
